Working on New Vinnytsia Development Strategy 2034

A strategic planning workshop was held in Vinnytsia to develop project ideas for the updated Vinnytsia Development Strategy 2034. The event was organised with the support of the EU4Reconstruction Project (Stream 2), led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

The opening remarks were delivered by Vladyslav Skalskyi, Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia, and Maksym Terletskyi, Project Manager of the EU4Reconstruction (Stream 2) team. Olha Petrova, Project Manager for Municipal Public Investment Management, also participated in the workshop.

Through EU4Reconstruction (Stream 2), the project is supporting Vinnytsia in updating its Development Strategy through 2034 by introducing modern approaches to strategic planning focused on recovery, sustainable development, and European integration.

The workshop brought together around 90 participants, including representatives of the Vinnytsia City Council, sectoral departments, the team of experts, professionals from various fields of urban development, and the City Institute team. Working in thematic groups, they reviewed the community’s strategic goals and development priorities and generated project ideas that will help shape the future of Vinnytsia.

The next steps include expert refinement of the proposed projects, the definition of operational objectives, consultations with key stakeholders, and broad public engagement.

The draft updated Vinnytsia Development Strategy is expected to be completed in autumn 2026. It will then be presented to the community and submitted for approval by the Vinnytsia City Council.

We thank the Vinnytsia City Council team and City Mayor Serhii Morgunov for their leadership, openness to cooperation, and commitment to shaping a long-term vision for the community’s development.
